On October 8, 2005 in Kashmir, Pakistan, the earthquake affected the neighboring region of Gilgit-Baltistan and most of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa territory. The intensity was 7.8 points. According to official data, about 75 thousand people died on that day. Various reports informed that dozens of towns and villages in northern Pakistan have been destroyed.
