10. Cyclone “Bhola”
Cyclone “Bhola” in 1970 became one of the deadliest natural disasters of modern history. The most deadly tropical cyclone ever recorded, killed 3-5 million people. Its destructive power can be explained by the fact that the wave it has formed flooded most of the low-lying islands in the delta of the Ganges, literally obliterating villages off the face of the earth.
